Frequently Asked Questions

Who can play the game?

Escape games are fun for anyone who loves a puzzle! They are great for families, friends, work colleagues. You will be more successful if you can work as a team.

We often get asked if children can play. We'd say that you know your children best, and if you think they would enjoy it and be able to participate then that's great. As a guide, our team members' daughter is 10 and she loves this type of game. We do ask that children under the age of 16 are accompanied by an adult.

How many people can play?

The game is for 2-6 people. More team members can mean more brain power, but also more to co-ordinate.

What happens if we need to get out before the time?

If you need to leave the room for any reason we will open the door for you.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes, as the building isn't manned all the time we need to take bookings in advance to arrange staff to be there. Bookings are made online through this website. If you can't give us that much notice you can still contact us and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

What happens if we need to cancel?

We ask that you give us as much notice as possible. We will try to rearrange another time suitable for you. If you are unable to give us 24 hours notice and we incur staffing costs then we will have to charge an admin fee.

Do you serve alcohol?

No. Anyone who's obviously under the influence of alcohol will not be allowed to enter the room and will forfeit their game fee.

How long will it take?

The game will take a maximum of 60 minutes, but we have 90 minute sessions as we need to explain your mission to you when you arrive, and then debrief you before you leave.

What happens if we get stuck on the puzzles?

We will be monitoring your game and can offer clues if you need them.

Is the guardroom accessible to everyone?

Unfortunately as it's an old building with steps up to the front door there could be issues for wheelchair users. Please contact us for more information.

Can I add another person to my booking?

If you have booked for 5 people or less then you can turn up with another person and simply pay the difference on the day.
